Hello, Elle,
I am out of my depth too.
Can we not discuss the Tour de France?!!!
Well, we have all learned a bit this week.
I know France gave part of Vimy Ridge to Canada in honour of the Canadian troops killed there.
Have a look at Flickering Lamps site.
Much to interest folk on it.
Yes, my son has gone home.
He was not at the butcher today.
I like shepherd's pie.
i have to text these girls now, to see what they are up to!
Back later!

Hi, Rusty!
I thought that if there were an ENclave, there could possibly be an EXclave , so decided to consult Chambers!
But more or less the same definition is given for each.....that is confusing?
Now it is surprising how well things can work out!
As you know, I should have gone to Bromley today, but plans went adrift.....
However, my daughter has phoned me to ask if I could meet her there tomorrow!
She has an eye appointment at SpecSavers opticians and also wants to choose some new spectacle frames.
Then we shall have lunch!
So that will be nice!
Did you manage to contact the girls?
I hope all is well with them?

Hello, Elle,
Girls are fine!
They are working away at the flat!
I am sure you will enjoy meeting your daughter at Bromley.
Maybe Specsavers will do a Black Friday deal for her.
I hope ASDA is not busy with bargain hunters!

Hi, Rusty!
Do you think there will be any extra special "deals " come into force especially for tomorrow, as it is the official Black Friday?
So many stores, especially online, have been holding their Sales now for a fortnight?
I am looking for some new wellingtons as I have discovered a split in my "old and trusted" pair of Hunters!
The split is only halfway up the leg so not a major disaster!
But I should quite like to get another pair - at a good bargain! - lined up ready for when I need them!
I have found one pair of Hunters online for £54-99 instead of £89-99.........maybe I should buy them?
They are described as being "sludge green"!
I will have a look around Bromley tomorrow morning...but doubt I will find a better offer.
Are there any bargains you plan to get?
Btw, did you discover why the tumble drier that you bought for your granddaughter should so suddenly go up in price?

Good morning, Elle!
Hard frost here!
Do your wellies have to be Hunters?
Seem expensive for a pair of rubber boots?
Have a look in Milletts, if Bromley has one?
There is the Greenwellyshop at Tyndrum, but that is a long way away for you!
I have never had wellies so by no means an expert on Hunters or ordinary wellies, I'm afraid.
I am not planning on getting any bargains.
A new boombox would interest me, though.
i have just got a very cheap one.
An ASDA own brand which cost £20.
But a better quality one would be better.

Good morning, Rusty!
It is an absolutely beautiful day here - blue sky and bright sunshine!!
Makes you feel happy to be alive!
A tad cold though!
What sort of a day do you have in your 'neck of the woods'?
Yes, my wellies definitely need to be Hunters!
I have had cheaper boots but they never fit well - I have small feet and slim legs and the average wellies are always too wide and baggy for comfort.
Hunters "tall original" are great!
Well worth the expense ( if I can get them about half price!)
One needs wellies if doing dog walking in the pouring rain!
Are you seriously on the lookout for another 'boombox'?
If you cannot find anything today on "Black Friday", maybe in the January Sales?
Well, I must away to get changed....... I need to leave home in half an hour to met my daughter......
Catch up with you later........

Hello, Elle!
Beautiful day, blue skies and helluva cold here.
Try Amazon for your Hunters?
No, I am not serious about a boombox, but if I happened across a good one from a "known" brand I would ponder it.
Anyway, plan B.
My car battery is struggling with these very cold frosty mornings and I am replacing it just after lunchtime.
I was at ASDA earlier. No different from any other day.
Black Friday has passed them by, or vice versa.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
We had a good time, but I am utterly exhausted!
Going to Bromley on Black Friday was NOT a good idea!
Every man and his dog were there!
But my daughter had her eye test and chose some new glasses, and that went well!
She kept YB off nursery and brought him along - so he and I were mutually delighted to see each other!
And lunch was good - I was 'treated' to my meal!
Yes, I have looked on Amazon for my Hunters, but cannot find a reasonable deal in my size.........so I think I will put the idea on hold for the time being.
Maybe in the January sales? or an end of season clearance?
Did you manage to replace your car battery?
Did that come under the Black Friday Sales?!

Hello, Elle!
At least your daughter accomplished her objectives.
Could you ask Hunter to repair your boots?
A bicycle tube patch may do?
What about your cobbler who fixed the Nubucks?
Worth a phone call?
I was well away from Black Friday activities, but the road traffic seemed to be busier than usual.
My battery has been replaced, but not paid for.
The lad who owns the garage is off today due to a bereavement.
So, his mechanic fitted a battery while I waited and told me to pay next week at my convenience.

Elle, re your wellies.
There is a product on Amazon called "Explorer Stormsure" which could help you out.
Some reviewers have successfully repaired Hunter wellies with it.
Have a look?
