Hello, Elle,
Not asleep yet.
Bit early for me.
You are doing well with Hawaii!
Minus 1 outside.
That is good the Ladies are Lunching tomorrow!
Is your tram service running yet?
I have no plans tomorrow, beyond buying my paper.

Hi, Rusty!
It is mildish here.
According to the weather chart, it is supposed to be about 9C tomorrow, but despite this we apparently can expect very brisk to strong winds (again?).
I think the plan is to go to Bromley for lunch tomorrow, so luckily the tramline will not be needed.
But yes, I think the tram service to Croydon is fully functioning again........there was talk of its so doing on November16th - but I am not sure if this actually happened?
I must find out for sure before next Wednesday, as I am meeting a friend in South Croydon on that day, which would entail my using the section of line where the crash occurred.
How is Miss ATW's flat coming along?
Has she moved in...or is she waiting for the decorating to be finished?

Hello, Elle!
Hope your transport is fine tomorrow.
Now, this flat, there was a few of the young ones "helping" tonight.
And it went quite well I believe.
There is a plasterer coming tomorrow evening to price a couple of jobs.
No rush to move in.
Think Miss ATW is planning on spending Christmas at home and then moving in.
We shall see!

Good morning, Rusty!
A fine day here!
It was pleasant to walk without getting wet!
Although the dog still managed to get pretty filthy!
Is it any warmer today where you are?
It is good that Miss ATW can take her time with the flat move...it will be nice to have everywhere newly decorated and straight before she needs to move in.
I am just having a quick cup of coffee and a look at the QC...I have only got time for that at the moment.
A friend is coming round shortly to pick me up, and we are going over to Bromley to do some shopping, before "Ladies Who Lunch".
It will be nice to catch up personally on all the news.
I hope you have a good day...........

Good morning, Elle.
Great day here. Hard frost and blue skies.
Temp is +1C. About 9C colder than you lucky folk in the South are getting!
The girls at ASDA say there is no Black Friday this year, or very little of it, anyway.
Miss ATW is doing away fine, in spite of the "help" of Miss O, who turned up at B&Q with the shopping list as they were closing!
Granddaughters!
I am going to see if I can find the curling on TV.
Eve and rink going very well.
They've played six and won six.
It is the European Champs, so no Canada!
Hope the shopping and gossiping goes well!

Hi, Rusty!
I am still at home...!
I didn't go to Bromley after all!
Talk about "the best laid plans of mice and men......"!
My friend failed to arrive to collect me......it seems that she has a bad cough and isn't feeling very well.
She thought that she had texted me to this effect.......but if she did, it failed to reach me.
Eventually, I contacted her, and found her coughing and spluttering at home!
Shopping and gossip are on hold!
We have postponed "L-w-L" till next Thursday!
I have been down to the village High Street to get some bits and pieces.
Did you find the Curling?

Hello, Jazzgirl!
I've watched the relevant part of "Treasures" again!
I had my Readers Digest Road Atlas opened at the Poole area page, too!
Brownsea Island was not mentioned on the programme.
Poole Bay and Sandbanks were, quite a few times.
They had two maps.
One was commissioned by a man called Christopher Hatton, who was one of Queen Elizabeth's "dancing partners"!
They mentioned "gardens" in connection with Hatton.
Wondering if Hatton Gardens in London has a connection?
Henry 8's map had more detail, including "sea monsters", and also showed church towers and beacons which would be lit, in a line, all the way to London, in the event of an invasion.
That is as much as I could glean from the programme.
But, a pity you can not see it, Jazzgirl!
It really is absorbing!

Hello, Elle!
That is a pity about your friend!
This is the time of year for spluttering and sneezing!
No, could not find the curling, but discovered that Eve and the girls have just beaten Russia, and have now won 9 out of 9.
They play Russia in the semi-final tomorrow.
Sweden play the Czech Republic in the other semi.
So fingers crossed for them.
I bought Christmas cards today.
They are not cheap!
How are you and Hawaii getting on.
Watch out for Japanese war planes!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
War is over..........
In the aftermath, Mr. M has listed whom he considers are the four "Golden Men" .......
(Do you remember this?)
These are Hoxworth Hale - a "haole"
Hong Kong - a Chinese
Shigeo Sakagawa - a Japanese and
Kelolo (Kelly) Kanakoa - a Hawaiian
A "Golden Man " is considered to be a product not of race, but of the mind.
A way of life, not of birth.
It is on the shoulders of these four "Golden Men" that the future of Hawaii rests.
We are now at the stage when Hawaii is being reshaped after the war........
(Nyuk Tsin , at 100 years of age, has 141 great-great- grandchildren!)
The saga is very engrossing!
But I must leave it for now to take out the dog!

Hello, Elle!
Nyuk Tsin has a huge family!
I only have four granddaughters to run rings around me!
The Golden Men are a distant memory.
You seem to be enjoying the saga.
I have not opened my paper yet.
Be a late crossword today!
