All done now but having problems parsing #4

At last the penny has dropped re 4.

Yes Ari. Strictly speaking you are correct. However, since my clues are not numbered A or D you can assume they may be A or D. I usually try to avoid including a 'definite' "Down" indication although I confess "up" as an instruction should really be a 'Down' clue. Ha, ha!, were I to write "this a Down clue" I'd be giving some of the 'game' away.
