22D is AFFORD (as in Ford Fiesta)

I think 19D is STEP which is inside TERPSICHORE minus R for recipe and THIS but that is not quite sufficient

Yes definitely prefer STEP to STEW now.
Possible explanation... Terpsichore is an anagram of SHORT and RECIPE and a short step could get a dancer going?
