2 D. Fee is the payment, with 'mm' inside.
30. Atop- peaks. It's A to P, the letters, which are followed by Q, which is how you pronounce 'queue'.

2D - I forgot to add that the clue said 'gentlemen', plural. M is Monsieur, French gentleman, and there are two of them.
