22. Yes toddy, today replace "a" article with d(rink)
23. Yes depot, top ed all reversed
25. Ostia, so reversed + i (1) in TA

Hi trevor, I agree "i" could come from one as a person = I but also the Roman numeral i = 1 as I've seen 2 (for example) being used in clues to give ii in the wordplay where the answer is say denarii.

you are of course,totally correct ginge, i get stuck in my ways.
