I don't think it can be guard, as "escorted" is a past participle - it would need to be "guarded", though obviously this has too many letters.

Thanks for letting me know - definition is a bit loose, isn't it? I can see that "associate with" could be "knock about with", but I don't think either works without the "with".

i know, they often misprint and have obscure clues.

could 3d be dated....
