Welcome to Peer Review, your weekly competition to compose a cryptic clue to be judged by your fellow contestants, and your chance to discuss aspects of punctuation and grammar.

You may enter as many clues as you like and everybody is welcome to have a go.

Please post your clue(s) by 2.00 p.m. on Friday 17 April. Feel free to explain your clue if you think it will help but please refrain from commenting on entries until voting has begun.

Entrants should vote for their favourite clue (please include the post number). Voting opens at 2.00 p.m. on Friday 17 April. Voting closes at 10.00 p.m.

The entry with the most votes wins and its composer sets next week's competition. The setter has a deciding vote in the event of a tie.

The setter will declare the winner and award an online prize on Friday evening, gin and tonics permitting.

It was sorely tempting to set either APOSTROPHE or POSSESSIVE as the challenge for this week, but instead an alternative word has been chosen. Recently, CHAMBERS was set the word to be clued in Clueless; so following on with that theme, the answer to be clued is:
