I'm not at all sure these are correct, but, assuming they are, help greatly appreciated with the parsing/and or corrections....

5d. Eats half of meat loaf (3) - HAS (Eats?)

22d. Dullness of old rocker - this person's gagging for the nobs! (6) - TEDIUM (Dullness)

I assume 'Old rocker' is TED(dy boy), but as for the rest..

24d. Old fashioned clothes designers (7) - D?A?E?S

DRAWERS is the best I can come up with, but am far from convinced.

31d. Make a start - ahead of sticking the soldiers in? (3,8) - GET CRACKING fits the definition, but I can't parse any of it.

Got it, thanks Mattrom, thanks Mamya.

Do you think the last one might be to do with cracking eggs for soldiers (bits of bread)?
