I've got ? E ? U and can think of two possible answers, one a place where Paddington bear came from and one meaning an admirer, like Joe.
Help appreciated.

Could it be a sound alike of where the Cockney bells are?

Your second suggestion (if I read you right) sounds like an area of the East End.

Thank you all for the help. I think I will plump for the latter as I don't think Paddington is in the East of London. I still can't parse all this weeks clues(,20 a & 19 d) but I'm finished for now. Thanks once again if any of you need assistance this week just ask...:-)

You have to pronounce 20a in German!

19d was easy for me, as I returned from there only a few weeks ago. It's the name of the currency.

I only just bought my copy this morning. Finished, but cannot see the parsing on 19a. The answer I have is grammatical two dots. Changing hands I thought was L to R or vice versa, but still cannot see why
