Got most of the answers, but have put none in the grid yet!
I need help with Submersed - that might be a war film title (13, 3 words)
I really don't understand what they mean by "answers fit in the grid jigsaw-wise" does 1 across start in the top left hand corner as usual? But how can it when it's 4 letters and 1 across has 6 spaces???
I'm probably just being thick!

Ignore the numbered clues for now. I just solved as many clues as I could and then tried to fit them in. I think The Dam Busters is a good place to start - it's the only 13-letter answer.

1a is "just" a number - it doesn't go in the top left corner. 5a only has 1 position too
