I need one letter! 29a Foxing well known septet maybe interrupted by cheers (6) STA?NS. Could be starns or stains but why? Thanks for any help

Septet - could be the Seven Deadly SINS, then put TA for cheers inside? S TA INS.

Thanks Malone. I don't agree about you often being wrong. With many others I have found your answers very useful. You could well be right here. I got stuck thinking of a musical septet.
