Hello
Stuck on "a 4x4's turn in the car's role - looking ridiculous" 7,7 -h-l---/t-a-t-r
And "The morning crossword in a Sunday paper was stunning" 6 a-a---
If somebody can parse lifelines may 23 I would be most grateful too.
Thanks!

Chelsea Tractor ( a 4 x 4) It's an anagram, I think
Amazed - AM/morning and Azed/crossword in a Sunday paper, Azed is in the Observer every week.

It'd be better if you gave the clue for the answer you'd like parsed. There are very helpful people on this site but they don't all have copier of all the papers.

Re 'LIFELINES' clue, I think it's:-

23a. is COME TO THE RESCUE - so May come to the.... is to be thrown a LIFELINE

So 11a. May 23, these 50 cats will cuddle one

50 = L + Cats = FELINES around (cuddle) I = LIFELINES

Thanks Ginge, much appreciated.

PS. I thought it was an unwritten rule that anagrams (FLAG) had to be of words that appeared in the clue.

Hi again Brendan, it's not an anagram as such. Cycling or recycling is literally going in a cycle and usually the 1st letter going to the back or the last letter going to the front. Hope that helps for any future occurrences.
