Well, well! Gramps and Bertie. I never noticed that. Seems as though the clue could be a bit ambiguous.

I thought when = AS; analyzed = SORTED and ASSORTED (items) contain nothing exceptional.

Feel sure you're right though. ISOLATED it must be.

It helps when you've got the crossing letters! I agree, not the best of clues.

I agree there are at least 2 or 3 clues which are a bit ambiguous
