Chop, chop, chop. It was -10 F (-23 C) at breakfast. Houses look as if ogres live in them, though perhaps fewer than half are actually occupied by ogres. Many report water dripping from kitchen cabinets, likely forming icicles there too. Great Lakes frozen over again, Boston's all-time February snowfall record already broken- by 21 inches! Temperature records falling all over too. And it was reported a few days ago that it's one of the warmest winters in US history. I'm only buying newspapers to start fires with.

Haven't got all the answers yet. Sooo preoccupied....

Hello Trevor and Ari. Gosh Ari! What a dreadful spell of VERY cold weather. As we warm up on this side of the pond, the temperatures are dropping over there. Keep hoping for a sign of Spring.

Mr A, pyrophiliac! Me too. If 21"of snow fell here absolutely everything would stop.
Jolan, do you live anywhere near my son, who takes his dog for walks on Dinas Dinlle? Great place.
Has anyone (apart from ab) done #1?

Hi Andy. Good for you! Keep at it.

Ros. Nice to see you. No! I'm on Northern Anglesey but have walked that excellent long sea-defence wall in Dinas many times. It's truly beautiful. The rolling sea to one side and the mountains of Snowdonia on t'other. eh? It would be immensely blowy there today in the Northwesterly strong gale.

gest, of course. I'll be interested to see if jolan was thinking of "sticks" or "stands" for #2

I don't see the prostitute in #5 - is "tom" a slang word I don't know?
