Good fun...struggled a bit with the abbreviations at Guideline (a)ii, (f)ii (just one letter for technical foul?) and AC(e).

Yes, with the hoops reference you'd just use T. When you're called for a technical foul in basketball you get teed (is that how you'd spell it?). TE is the standard abbreviation for the football position, and GE is used in regular conversation (I don't think anyone over here would say "My oven is a General Electric").
