I am stuck on one answer to finish the crossword....

Question: RISKIER....these are the answer letters I have....?NSA?ER

I hope someone can help, because I just can't get my head around using UNSAFER or INSANER as the answer, which is all I can find to fit.....they are not words I have ever used or heard of before.....

unsafe is pretty common unsafer looks ok to me.

I think that both are valid words. UNSAFER would be my pick.
