Welcome back Chris4food. It is interesting that you have kept reading this site but did not want to contribute. I wonder if there are any others who used to contribute and now do not but still keep reading. I am still struggling with crossword meantime

Well I found this one quite hard going. Last clue now: I need a hint for 1d "Island town..." Have I got the crossings right? - _T_R_O_A_. For 7a I've got the sort of support a structural engineer might use.
