9 Across: Spring harvest on a Fijian island. (4) R***

6 Down: Placeholder to tear off and keep. (4) *T**

I half fancy "STAY" for this one but can't work out the clue apart for keep = stay.

The 3rd letter of 9A is the last letter of 6D.

The "R" comes from "SKERRY" - Rocky island south of Munster county?

The "T" comes from "SQUASHRACKETS" - Dodgy businesses selling fruit drinks at a game within walls?
