Clue: Go slowly blind (5)

This was my last entry, and i only got it from the crossing letters.

My question: Is it possible to get from the clue alone.(is it cryptic and definition?)

Cheers all

Hi imagcq, long time no parlez. I saw your last update and I hope things are continuing to improve.

Re your query, without the crossers the best I can come up with is "grave" a musical direction slowly (and solemnly) similar to largo and lento ( well saying I'm no musician) and grave and blind both meaning to seal with tar (which I admit I had to look up). I'm interested in the expected solution now, please. Cheers.

I am so pleased you got the Emrach thread update, your kind words inspired me.

I only posted this clue in the spirit of 4@4, to see if it is possible. As you know my puzzle is doable from the clues alone. That's how I like it.

Your answer is incorrect but it does start with G

And if you don't mind im gonna let this roll?

Cheers Ginge as always lets party! (ps) Been thinking about doing the puzzle again, this time posting sunday to finish Monday.(that way I know I will always have computer access) thoughts?

cheers

Great that you're contemplating the resurrection of 4 @ 4. You're the host making an effort for our entertainment so if that's when it suits you go ahead on that basis (do you not have access via your mobile? That's all I use but if I'm writing a detailed response I write it as a draft email and then cut/copy and paste to avoid getting "thrown off" before completing as I've done here). I'm not sure how many of the "old" regulars look in on the forum on a Sunday so it may require a "bump" on a Monday until they realise you're back but it may have the advantage of attracting a new audience. Perhaps a comment on the Peer Review immediately prior to your "first" posting would be beneficial. Looking forward to it, cheers.

Got me smiling you "old technophobe", I'm sure you're more than capable if you really wanted to and i was initially sceptical (read scared) and now would find it unusual and awkward if I didn't have mobile web access now.
Re " grope "; an email to the crossword editor if it appeared as such in any of the cryptic puzzles I regularly do!
Cheers for now mate.
