1 - term comes from contract bridge - think of tennis etc and mostly Europe based international rugby for this term for one/team who sweeps the board of major tournaments?

can't see any anagram for strip poker.
'ridding themselves of the habit' could mean taking off their clothes.
still don't get it though, might be barking up the wrong tree.

My pleasure, haeremai18. You gave " privies kept " which may have hindered trevor a little with the anagram........

"Privies kept" - where did I type this????? When I look at my message, it says 'priors kept" ! Very strange!

With this quiz you certainly need to know all about playing card games etc which I know nothing about and no interest in them either! The game of patience is about my limit!!!

Thanks to all for help.
