This is most frustrating ! Have a completed grid except for 34D which must be 'ONER' - I think? What I can't get is the first letter of the theme word which ends with the letter 'G' so cannot proceed to the next stage i.e removal of relevant letters in the grid. Any hints please !

The first letter is H. G is the second letter

It comes from 34d- should be HM (her Majesty which gives you ER for Oner)

I have had exactly the same issue: full grid, song title, line (inc. repetitive action) and both letters, however, to me, nothing conclusive jumps out as a candidate word.

A v gentle prompt would be appreciated.

What does the rest of the songline say?

That should lead you to a site popular on line.

The word you are looking for is used on that site repeatedly.

I have been struggling with this since Sunday. Have the song and the site and the first and last letters of the word. Have just looked through a list of the words most often used on that site and only one - of six letters - has the right first and last letters. Could some kind soul please confirm or otherwise that the word is 6 letters and is a present participle.
