I've been having connection problems (not just the usual ones with this site). The weather may be the cause; it's going to be -5 F tonight (-20.6 C) with 40 mph wind, though right now it's a balmy 15 F. I'll try to post at the appointed time, but if I don't that's why.

Wonderful entries.

Such flashes of brilliance! There’s busby’s Western-influenced “with forked tongue”, chrise’s naughtiness (a duck observer perhaps?), greedy kite’s kinky entry too, peterm’s superb construction, ginge’s “subtly tempting” and “mass media frenzy”, ixion’s lovely “pine trees swaying” used with “windy”, les40’s wonderful “bite off the heads of snakes”, ab’s gem “Likes?”, BigBad’s fabulous “Genesis vocalist”… Oh my. I liked everyone’s clues. Though I generally don’t favor anagrams, this time I have to go with mattrom’s simply perfect:

Pen entries rewritten in boustrophedon style (10)

Here’s your prize:

But doesn’t “very unique” just drive you batty?

You guys (yes, it’s an inclusive term over here) are something else. Thanks for all the inspired offerings, and see you next week.

Congrats, mattrom - brilliant!

Thanks, aristo - I was watching ducks last Friday, in fact.

Fascinating clip, very unique indeed - the shape reminded me of Quetzlcoatl, the mesoamerican feathered serpent. I'm always dubious about "alignments", though - given long enough you can always find something more or less aligned (as Pyramidologists demonstrated)

And you're something else too, aristo. Wouldn't be the same without you. Very well done, mattrom. Learnt a new word too.

chrise: I know what you mean. It's perhaps aligned with the local Walmart now- which its builders were able to foresee!
