A Happy New Year to you all.

Need to check two of my answers please.

It bewilders me when two extreme letters are used. (4) I have DAZE but looking at the reference to 'me' could it be MAZE?

Good breeder but not a champion. (6) R??B?T.
I have got rabbit but can't understand the reference to champion.

Any thoughts extremely welcome. Thank you.

I think MAZE is better

A "rabbit" (in golf, at least) is a player who is not likely to become a champion.

Hi Chrise, Thank you for you help. Golf is not my game (can't afford the green fees!) so I wouldn't have known that.
