Help appreciated with parsing for the following....

35a. Strong emotion in Napoleon, say, touring old French city (9) - POIGNANCY (Strong emotion)

I think NANCY is the French city but can't see the rest.

11d. Most of 16 is done (7) - THROUGH

The answer to 16a. is STORMY

23d. Shoot art copier in Ernest Lazlo's birthplace (8) - BUDAPEST (Ernest Lazlo's birthplace)

I think 'Shoot' is BUD but I can't get APEST from 'Art Copier'.

30d. Article that's used to pierce Yankee? (7) - BAYONET (Used to pierce?)

That's fantastic Trevor. You're right about 11d., I did miss out 'The', and I'm kicking myself for not seeing Orwell's Napoleon, especially as I did that book for O' Level English. Many thanks Trevor and Happy New Year.
