First time on . Unsure of two....14ac. The reader's no longer inadequate English(5) Is it THINE and why?
50 ac. Conference,say, a year back precedes show(6).
APPEAR ? Can't justify.

PA - per annum back + pear (conference) - appear?

the reader is you = thine (no longer used)
inadequate : thin + E ( English)

The reader's is yours - inadequate - thin + E for English - Thine- yours?

When the widower complained that the E was missing, the mason promised to rectify the error asap.


Next day the headstone read:
"E she was thin".
