Ok, here goes.
Gk with his pity for Ric, Chris with some early anagrams, ixion has been getting 'it' a bit pricy. Mattrom with Apricoty with 'i' for 'o' (is that a real word?). Busby pry-ing for a nervous tic. Peter with his 1st (FIRST) part of apri(l) awaiting City of (Florence). Ginge swapping 'it' for his skin of (K)eep coo(l). AB with a new word for me 'Brumal' very clever. Marty with his late clue but missing an 'i'.
So it comes to the two clues that I have in the final choice.
Bigbad Marty with his excellent surface read of Apache by the Shadows.
AND
Aristophanes with his (also) excellent surface read in his present to Theambler.
Both these clues haven't got the strongest of Definitions, however, seeing as Aristo comes from that part of the world and should be owed some poetic license for his knowledge of Providence, the baton will pass to him this week for this superb clue that has a very clever and exquisite flow to it.
What Providence begins with, what it is, and what it's like? (8)
What Providence begins with = A 'P'
what it is = Rhode Island (RI) City
and what it's like = Def (and I'm sure it is)
Well done Aristo, here is your prize, all you dads out there should pick up some very helpful tips in this clip.
