I have joined the crossword club with Times online but I am unable to complete any interactive puzzles! There is no available keyboard! Can anyone help please?

The ipad keyboard should automatically appear when you click on the part of the crossword where you type your answer. Is this not happening ?

No keyboard appears. I can highlight the area where I want to put the answer but I can't enter anything.

I am not sure if this is still the case but someone posted this on a website forum in 2012

"I have tried but as far as I can tell the club site doesn't work with iPads, which is a ridiculous state if affairs. I have a subscription to the paper and download the whole thing on the Times app."

I telephoned the Times Plus helpline this morning and they were unable to help me. I read the newspaper online on my ipad and wanted to complete the crossword. The best they could suggest was to print it!

I do the interactive Guardian cryptics on ipad . No problem at all and they are free. I cannot understand why the Times interactive grids do not work in the same way.

I've also saved the link as an icon for easy access. I guess you already know how to do that but just in case you don't, click on the square with an upward-pointing arrow inside it (3rd from right in top RH corner of the screen) Good luck with The Times
