HI there,

Stuck on a fair few today. It's a festive theme.

10a (5,4) 'Endless party here, sadly interrupted by one on third floor'. t?r?e ?a?? (I think!)

1a (3,4) 'Anything about guide to 7 is fairly basic'. t?o ?t??

(7 is Bethlehem, I think, so I'm thinking 'two star' which makes 10a end in an 'r')

11a (5) Escaped with passport, heading west for some capital'. d????

8d (4) 'Hold sandwiches and put up decorations'. h???

9d (4) '24d met her mother regularly on vacation' m??? (I think 24d is Magi).

Thanks for any sliver of help on any of them.

owt = anything, reversed makes two, so two-star is obviously correct!

10a I can only think THREE-PART, which is an anagram ("sadly") of "party here" without the ending "y". What it has to do with third FLOOR I can't see (yet)...................

Thanks for your help. If I go with 'two star' for 1a, then 'three part' can't be right for 10a , as it has to end in an 'r'.

endless part(y) here only gives you 8 letters. Part here (interrupted by I ) gives you an anagrm of part here + I and the only thing I can up with is Three-pair which I believe is a poker term?...don't know how all of this parses

Thanks for that, Chrisg, and it would fit in with 'two star'.
