Thanks folks for making the effort with lots of other time consuming distractions right now and even though there was not a great number of entries it was anything but an easy task.
I like ixion"s combination of cockne(Y) with 'e and peterm's sumo wrestling, BBM2's festive penurious Santa, Claxbyp's Anthony's out Thursday (gross apologies if I've got this wrong but I assume "wearing" the other way round) and jws's bum (ooh er Mrs!) but my final shortlist came down to 3 absolute stoaters, any one of which would be a worthy winner so it wouldn't surprise me if some of you disagree with my choice of winner.
My joint runners up are fiery's axeman @ 2 and BBM2's John/Jane Doe with a thinly veiled reference to the pseudo pub chain Wetherspoon @ 13 but my winner is Les @ 15 with;

Many disagree with communal loos, not Malcolm X

A tremendous surface read (coincidentally an extraction anagram!) and a clue upon realisation of the answer I reckon most solvers would "eureka YES"  or something similar.
Your prize, following on from last week, a short profile of a well known film character (anonymous) with instantly recognisable atmospheric music.

Cheers for now folks and I hope you all enjoy the holiday period.

@ therogue: nice to see a clue from you again, even if not as an entry.
