58 could be rapid which would give you the D but I don't know what other letters you have placed for this clue

If 58 was Swift, that'd give you a 't' and 'coastal town' could perhaps be Seaport?

I like Malone's idea of a general term- seaport .
I've been concentrating on a specific name - a proper noun.
Would 'swift' work, jinty?
