Having difficulty with last one in:

12a "Male, one leaving Parisian shopgirl in alcove" (7)

I've got D - N - T - E

Could it be DINETTE as a sort of alcove?; if so I can't see how it parses and I think my schoolboy French could be letting me down.

Any help appreciated

Midinette is a young female shop assistant. Take off 'i'/One and 'm', male and you get Dinette, alcove.
