Many thanks Malone, that finishes it for me.
But find a lot of the parsing baffling.

Nelson, I didn't join in this thread earlier as I felt quite a lot of my answers were on the iffy side! I didn't like/get/understand how some of them worked, even though I think they're correct.

I think it's Sepmag. S is extra and the rest is Ep+mag.

I would really appreciate help with 26a. The answer seems obvious , but there doesn't seem to be a definition , the whole clue is wordplay. Also 5d, I don't really understand. I'm sure you clever people have them both sussed!

In 26 A, the definition is 'Section' . (School's gives Sch's and independent gives 'i'. The last letter is the one not referenced in the clue.)

5 D Releases for faultless reserves? (6)

I've got Relets, meaning 'lets' (a house, for example) again - 'leases' would have the same sense. If you take the 're' off all the words, it was easier to see - and that's how I managed to get the 'reserves' idea. It's re - serves in tennis - and if you serve up a good(faultless) serve, the umpire calls 'let'. So 'faultless serves' becomes 'lets', and the 're' is stuck back on. I hope this makes some sort of sense!

Thank You both very much Jogamel and Malone. I hadn't taken the 's into account and just assumed the final s was from section.
Disregarding the re in 5d makes it all clear
Many thanks again.
