27th November clue- Dan's time -5,9

Answer Stand corrected.
Could someone please explain. Appreciate that Dan's + t = stand but there I am lost.

You could "correct" STAND to "Dan's T" (or vice versa).

Some of the Guardian compilers do this sort of thing quite often - for instance, Boatman yesterday:
