I thought of that Rusty and decided that it would be lilacs or pines.
It would be interesting to know where the clue came from.

Yes, Rossim, I agree, it would be better in singular.
No idea where the clue came from.

It was not a criticism Rusty!
Knowing where the clue came from helps us know the degree of difficulty and whether it is cryptic or not.
Maybe it's just a poor clue.
