Why do some threads suddenly disappear from the forum?

Because they are deemed unsuitable by admin.

Quite right Busby. Last night I deleted a thread containing utter racist rubbish after I was alerted to it by several Forum users. Everybody is entitled to their personal views but our Crossword Forum is not the place to air them.

I appreciate users letting me know about these posts, I do scan down the Forum every day but I don't have the time or inclination to read every thread so all the assistance I get in weeding out unsuitable threads is very helpful. Thanks one and all.

On a totally different subject, I often look at the Cryptic Clue threads and I am absolutely amazed how you manage to work out the answers, they are SO complicated!

I like the way this forum is administered Norah.
I hadn't seen the thread and was wondering.
As far as the cryptics go, practice and a "warped mind" help :-). I'm still learning, some people on this forum amaze me with their ability.

Thanks Norah I appreciate the explanation it is good to know that the site is monitored so well. I have never been able to understand what if any satisfaction some people get out of being so obnoxious not only on websites but by posting graffiti in public places. By the way the site I was enquiring about was nothing like that and has now reappeared. Thank you again Norah.
