No, it's Dot.
Do = ditto
T = Temperature.
Dot Cotton is a character in Eastenders.

Yes, Ely (in Cambridgeshire) is a See - a place that has a bishop. It appears quite often in crosswords, though usually at the end (eg a word such as barely).
