Hope I'm not stepping on any toes because advertising is just 'not cricket' on here, however, just for your information folks because I know a few have mentioned you lack a printer to get a copy of the latest grids.
I popped into a well known shopping facility tonight on my way home from work and they're knocking out a decent model of Cannon printer in the sale for £40, I use a similar printer and can give a good feedback on this make.
Please don't shout at me for mentioning a (non-crossword) item but it's just in case you need one and missed the deal.
(sorry to our foreign friends, it's a British shop)

I'll second that. Canon has been my top brand.

Actually, UK prices are way higher. Probably because the North American market is huge.

I too have a Canon. In the US you can get the cheapest model for about $40 (actually, I've seen them for even less), but the cartridges are indeed quite expensive; it in fact costs less to buy a new printer with cartridges in it than to replace them. Awful.

That's of course true of other makes too, though.

@aristophanes

For several years I've bought from 123InkCartridges.ca
They sell both OEM & re-manufactured ones. No problem with the latter. They have excellent service, great warranty & prices.
Not sure whether they ship across the border.
Google them or paste the name in the address bar.

For another tenner you can buy a laser printer eliminating the need for ink cartridges. Ours has served us well.

Just go inside a popular Gosport store. (5)
