Quite an easy puzzle today, except that I think I have the correct answers in both 18a and 13d, but their crossing letter conflicts! Maybe the 'sort of' in 18a' Hybrid litter (sort of) - information's contained in it' means that it is a derivative word not in Chambers?

While I have the two crossing with the same letter I can't fully explain my solution for 13 so perhaps I'm wrong. 18, though, is clear enough and contains a three-lettered slang word for information (an abbreviation).

For 13, the word I have, that makes perfect sense, contains two Es and no R.

Just been mulling this one over and I'm going for hosier plus 't (given by Chambers for it), fancily.

That's what I have too. It was my last entry, and I must say I don't see the definition.

nikki: I don't see how you could have two Es in 13, and 18 ends with an R.

Shoe-tie is my alternative. It fits the definition. I have settled for the alternative. A poor clue, in my opinion.

Just picked this up. I am also totally confused. Surely 18across must end in R as the litter is a real word surrounding the griff. As to 13 d I cannot make any sense as the middle letters of hosiery should anagram round "it".
