Hi there,

Any ideas on the following? -

7d(8) 'Skimpy garment - religious fellow in one will reveal nothing'. I've got -o-----I

23a (4,4) 'One in flight accepting brief time in part of New Zealand'. I've got e--- ----

Thanks

Please use caps - is that a lower-case L or an upper-case I at the end?

Obviously the latter, yet you used a lower-case O. Give us a break.

Also ? instead of a dash, please. Those are a pain to read.

Thanks to you both.

Sorry you found my query so irritating, Syzygy. I obviously don't take it quite as seriously as you do.

I actually thought I had been consistent in my use of lower case letters - I have poor eyesight, and my computer has an annoying habit of automatically altering lone 'i's to capitals. I did not pick this up. Sorry to have inconvenienced you so. Have a good weekend.

Jaybee, don't take that rather terse response to heart - the 'i' to 'l' is a very common issue on this site.

I am also partially sighted and it can be very difficult , keep plugging away - maybe the heat has got to some.

Hi jaybee
Another advantage (a well as readability) to using ? instead of - for missing letters is that the request can be copied and pasted directly into Chambers Word Wizard (a very useful site - if you don't know it, it's here:
