Job - I refuse it - is work in retirement. Answer: Position

I take it it's 'no' (refuse), 'it', 'is' and 'op' (work) read in reverse but then that leaves me with an extraneous 'I'. In order to be accurate shouldn't the clue read:

Job - refuse it - is work in retirement.
