Think I have solved it but there's a couple I am far from sure on. Would appreciate explanation / correction:

17a This month's disturbance resulting in summons (11)
I-S-R-C-I-N (Instruction?)

44a Youngster takes short run across island (6) _A_D_E (Laddie???)

Also far from convinced by Speed for 36ac (Prime requirement for person in race) and as documented extensively elsewhere, nonagenarian was tricky given the setter's unfamiliarity with Roman numerals.

just figured out laddie (ladder less r with i), often the case just after I post I find

36A: S P EED I took it as 'P' for person (primary letter of) in the middle of Seed = Race
