SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND 6
The weekend edition of our competition to compose the best cryptic clue, judged by your fellow contestants.
You may enter as many clues as you like and everybody is welcome to have a go.
Please would you explain your clue this week if you think the wordplay is particularly challenging.
Everybody who enters may vote for their favourite clue (not their own) - please include the post number.
The entry with the most votes wins and its composer sets next week's competition.
Please post your clues by 5pm Sunday, when voting opens - deadline 10pm.
The setter has a deciding vote in the event of a tie and may change the rules if necessary.
It is customary for the setter to award an online prize when declaring the winner.
The answer to be clued this week is:
PLATITUDE (9)
Have fun!
