can anyone help me with these 2 clues please ?

1. Silk fabric (5) N?n?n or N?p?n

the third letter i am not sue - it comes from this clue :
clue 2 - Gaped (6), yawned and yawped fit - the third letter in clue 1 is the fourth letter in clue 2.

Ninon is a silk fabric.
