Hi folks we now have a 3 way tie with fieryjack @ 7, mattrom @ 10 and Les @ 13. I'll be back as soon as I've made my decision (cheers busby enjoy your beer and cornflakes).

Not the greatest turnout this week in terms of numbers but the winner and quite a few others, in my opinion, are at least the equal of previously successful clues when far more entries were submitted.
After due consideration but without going into my reasoning (which I will happily give if asked) as time is marching on, my commiserations fiery and mattrom with congratulations to Les  with his cleverly constructed and very topical football themed clue @ 13;

Congratulations, Les, and thanks, ginge. And thanks for the thoughts, guys. We've had no wind here but it's been pouring all day. The hurricane may have just grazed Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Boston's bash on the Charles was moved up to last night, and our local fireworks (also near the Charles) was postponed till tomorrow. We reeeeally needed the rain. If Scotland goes rogue will you celebrate every year with hot dogs and hamburgers?
