I think this is correct, but would appreciate help with the parsing....

26a. Goddess found in area close to shore (7) - ASTARTE (Goddess) - I thought it might be A(rea) + (shor)E, but that leaves me with START unparsed so I've gone wrong somewhere.

found = start? as in found a hospital?

Is it
found=start, as in start up a business
