i think 'windy' - to rhyme with 'thank you kindly' indicates an anagram of 'dawn race'.

...hope the op' was successful so you don't have to work 'blindly'.

Thanks guys see!!! It now. And welcome back Trevor you have been sorely missed although until recently I didn't know that, it was only all the posts that made me aware of your contribution to the site. Arn't they a lovely caring bunch of people. They should rule the world!

I am sure you along with the others will help me enormously with these cryptic clues. I am getting better at it but not as good you all of you. Although......I have been able to contribute to a couple of answers.
