Hi again syzygy. 6c I "read" it as the "but you're" effectively removes the earlier "you're" which although as a sentence wouldn't make sense/read well it then fulfills the mechanics of fodder + container indicator + definition.

I thought that "excused" doubled as definition and indication that the second "you're" cancels out the first, leaving the two-word phrase to be more accurately "full of" the answer.

I also did wonder if "but" alone served the subtractive function. You're no doubt right.
