Hello,

I’m trying to put together a range of puzzles for someone who is a keen cryptic crossword puzzler. I’m not much of a wordsmith though, so I’m looking for some help coming up with suitable clues...

I’m after either a single or multiple cryptic clues which give an answer of any number between 0 and 999. Homophones for these numbers, or slang (baker’s dozen etc) would also work, anything that will lead to a recognisable number.

Does anyone know of a database of cryptic clues I could search? Or have any suggestions for suitable clues?

Sorry, I don't know of any database of cryptic clues. I did, however, like a clue in today's Times Quick Cryptic -
Some cricket, perhaps, makes good viewing (6-6).

The answer's Twenty-Twenty - but could easily be 20-20 for your purposes.
