Hi Malone........thanks for that......but why do the clue numbers matter?

Numbers (any numbers) would mean I/we wouldn't have to write out the clues again to answer.

As in" 5across", or "7 down"..........that sort of thing??

Most people just put 5 A or 3D, but even if they were just numbered 1,2 and 3, it's slightly easier to answer. It's not a major issue, just something I mentioned!

Just retrieved my paper from recycling...don't normally do this crossword. But just started it. 26a - drug record a cheat fills in 1-4 is L do p a- l dopa. 18 down is Them art - The Mart. 23d Group that's hidden old instrument - is Cell + O - cello
